Wounded Dog Leads to Pot in California

A wounded dog leads to pot in Murrieta, California. Police found a vicious canine attacking another animal that was chained up and wounded. They had to shoot the vicious animal, but to their surprise, the wounded dog lead police to another crime.
The hurt animal went into a nearby house, and that is when police found a full-scale marijuana operation. Murieta police arrested the owner of the wounded dog, who was Justin Armstong, 25. Armstrong is charged with possession and the growing of marijuana. He is being held on $25,000 bail.
It is not known if the wounded dog lived at the house he entered, but they were more interested in what they found. The wounded dog lead the cops right to a drug dealer. Even though the dog suffered from wounds, he is now a hero. This story should be made into a children's book called, "Wounded Dog Leads to Pot." It would make an interesting tale that would teach a lesson to children, so good can come out of this sad story.

French Spiderman

DUBAI: Alain Robert, who is popularly known as the 'French Spiderman', scaled the 2,716 feet-tall Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower here in a record-clinching feat. 












The climb was held yesterday as part of the 'Education Without Borders 2011' international student conference organised by the UAE's Higher Colleges of Technology. 

Unlike on many previous climbs, the 48-year-old daredevil is using a rope and harness to comply with organisers' requirements. 

"All safety precautions were taken with the cooperation of various governmental authorities," a statement from the developer said. 

Thousands of spectators watched him in action from Burj Park and Downtown Dubai. 

"Alain Robert's scaling of Burj Khalifa is indeed momentous, and we are honoured to host the climb as part of the prestigious 'Education Without Borders' conference that brought the world's leading educationalists and thought-leaders to witness the unprecedented feat," Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director, Emaar Properties, the developer of Burj Khalifa, said: 

Robert saw the attempt to climb Burj Khalifa as a true challenge. Robert has climbed more than 70 skyscrapers, including the Empire State Building, Chicago's Willis Tower and the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. 

Towering high at a height of 828 metres (2,716.5 ft), Burj Khalifa is now a full-fledged community featuring homes, offices, hotel suites and restaurants.

Indian men lead in sexual violence...

NEW DELHI: Nearly one in four Indian men has committed sexual violence at some point in their lives and one in five has admittedly forced his wife or partner to have sex. The findings of a recent International Men and Gender Equality Survey reflects a new low for Indian men. Only 2% Brazilian males and less than 9% of men in Chile, Croatia, Mexico and Rwanda were found to have indulged in sexual violence.

The survey was conducted in six developing countries across four continents to map attitudes and practices related to gender equality. Researchers from the International Centre for Research on Women ( ICRW in US and India) and Instituto Promundo in Brazil, who led the survey, interviewed more than 8,000 men and 3,500 women, aged 18 to 59, from these countries.

Indians, who are known to excel in competitive examinations globally, were ranked last on the 'gender equitable men' scale, given that only 17% of men here qualified to the 'highly equitable' (gender-just) category. The percentage was the lowest for this category among the six countries. On sexual violence, 24% said they had committed some form of it in their lives.

While Croatia topped the test, with 82% 'gender-just' men, more than 50% men in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico made the grade. Rwanda, which is among the least developed nations in the world, in fact, fared better than India, with 30% males qualifying as 'highly equitable'.

Rwanda, however, joined India with highest rate of domestic violence, with 38% men admitting they had physically abused their partners. Worse, more than 65% Indian men also believed that women should tolerate violence to keep the family together and that women sometimes deserved to be beaten.

And although Indian men were the most sexually and physically violent at home, they were not involved in violent or criminal behaviour outside. Only 4% Indian men had participated in robbery and 7% had been involved in fights with weapons, compared to 36% men in Croatia and 22% men in Brazil.

The findings, released in Washington last month, reiterated that although India may be on its way to becoming the world's fastest developing economy, it figures at the bottom of the pile when it comes to gender equality.

In the survey, which found Indian men to be the worst offenders in terms of sexual violence, more than 1,000 men from the 1,500 interviewed in India were from Delhi. The findings mirrored the high incidence of sexual assault in Delhi: the capital witnessed 489 rapes last year

Filmjölk: Swedish milk product with a condom?

A woman in Gunnilse (near Gothenburg, western Sweden) got the shock of her life after she found a condom in filmjölk, a sour-tasting fermented milk product famous in Sweden. The incident happened after she had had 2 cups of the product and was pouring the last of the content into a dog's dish.  With the product, a condom, its packaging, a pink-coloured plastic ring, and a receipt squirted out

"Mamma was shocked and I couldn't eat for two days," the woman's daughter Milica told the Expressen newspaper.
She's started to eat again, but she's never going to buy filmjölk again," she said.


Arla Foods, company producing the product, claims that it is impossible.


The Arla rep theorised that someone in Milica's home may have placed the condom in the package as a prank, something which she says couldn't have happened.

The package has since been sent to Arla for analysis, but spokesperson Katarina Malmström is doubtful that the condom ended up in the filmjölk during the packaging process.

"It's impossible…there's not a chance" she told The Local.

"It's a closed process and there are filters and things that would stop something so large from ending up in a container."


Prank by a family member, friend or a employee at the packaging plant? I hope the condom wasn't used...

An angry Chinese owner of a $800k Lamborghini Gallardo L140 employed a team of men with sledgehammers to smash the car as the dealership failed to fix the problems and ended up messing up the bumper and chassis.
The Lamborghini Gallardo was bought six months ago, but the engine failed to start on November 29, 2010. The owner contacted the Lamborghini dealer in Qingdao and they transported the Gallardo to their maintenance center. The engine problem wasn’t solved, but instead the bumper and chassis were damaged by the transport.
The owner complained by the dealer but they refused to take responsibility in this matter, so the angry owner contacted Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, the brand’s China headquarters, its after-sales service manager for Asia-Pacific region, and the brand’s owner Volkswagen Group, but the problem was not solved.
