Since their marriage imploded in 2009 life for Jon and Kate Gosselin has been fraught with problems and Kate is now facing a tough one – She’s being sued for over $100,000 after refusing to pay a marriage counselor.
On March 28th a firm called ‘Creative Energy Options’ filed a complaint in Pennsylvania’s Freeland District Court which asks presiding Judge Gerald Feissner to help them recover $104,476 from Kate, which is listed as;
“Unpaid balance due for services 2/4/09 to 3/23/09,” it reads. “Client requested Dr. Sylvia Lafair fly to Los Angeles to perform marriage counseling then refused to pay for travel fees.”
Dr. Lafair has told Radar the lawsuit is genuine and was the firm’s last resort after asking Kate to pay the bill several times and being completely ignored;
“There are commitments people make, and they should be followed through,” she explained.
The Doctor refused to go into detail about what the counseling involved, but with Kate as a client it was probably a tough job.
Jon and Kate married on June 12, 1999. Their reality show started in 2007, and so did the problems. In June 2009 they announced plans to file for divorce, which was granted six months later. Kate has since been given her own show but the ratings are awful.
