Casey Anthony

CFNews13 got a hold of the deposition of Michael Vincent, a crime scene investigator from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. The depositon was released by  Casey Anthony’s defense team last week.  Michael took part in the processing of Casey Anthony’s car trunk for evidence.  The car trunk that smelled like a ‘dead body’ according to Cindy Anthony’s 911  call.
Casey’s defense filed a motion to exclude “any testimony or evidence concerning any alleged identification of the chemical composition of human decomposition odor”.  The defense doesn’t  want the forensic-test results completed by the FBI and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, which show that Casey’s car trunk once held a dead body, to be allowed at the murder trial.    source
According to CFNews13 Orlando, here is the exchange between Casey’s attorney Jose Baez and investigator Michael Vincent during the deposition:

Jose Baez: What did the car smell like?
Vincent: It smelled like a dead body.
Baez: And how do you know that?
Vincent: Through my experience of dealing with a lot of decompositions.
Baez: How many decomposing bodies have you encountered in your career?
Vincent: Probably anywhere from 30 to 40.
Baez: And how many cars have you dealt with that you’ve processed that had a bag of garbage in the trunk for 3 weeks?
Vincent: Never.
Air Sample questions:
Baez: Have you ever done anything of that nature?” asked Jose Baez
Vincent: Done what?
Baez: Collect air samples.
Vincent: No. That’s the first time I had any dealings with collecting air samples.
The argument to exclude the human decomposition air sampling evidence will be heard this week during the 3-day Casey case Frye hearing. The hearing begins on  Wednesday, March 23rd.
Casey is currently in the Orange County Jail in Orlando awaiting her expected May 16, 2011 murder trial date.
