Marisa Tomei as Lady Gaga?

If there is going to be a biopic made about one of the most influential young musicians, the lead role may be played by Marisa Tomei! Lady Gaga’s friends even compare her to the actress when she gets a bit upset!

The singer did a radio interview the other day where she said if she had to pick, it would be the Oscar winning actress she’d want playing her. And it may just happen, because the actress was totally flattered by her comments!

On the 18th of February, the SiriusXM The Morning Mash Up sat down with the ‘Born This Way’ singer and talked about her career and this fabled film that may be made one day. When asked who she would pick to play her, Lady Gaga said Marisa Tomei!

“I would have Marisa Tomei play me. I am such a Marisa Tomei fan. All my friends call me Marisa when I get angry, because my New York accent just flies out of my body and I start smacking my gum.”

Isn’t that interesting… I would love to see why exactly they came up with that comparison! Anyways, they both seem to have a mutual respect for each other and on “The View” her response to Lady Gaga was that she was thrilled and loves the singer and her music!

“So I was so touched, really. I think it’s incredible that she likes my work and that she’d think of me in that way. I thought it was great.”

As for the actual film, it has been an idea that has been thrown around for a while. Other than comments like these here and there, no real plan seems to be in place. I think one day this will get done, and needs to. She is making a huge splash and music and may change the face of the industry forever. It doesn’t seem like it will happen any time soon, and the age difference between the 24 year old and 46 year old is already a concern.
