A Blaine man has been arrested in connection with Thursday's 'mass overdose,' which killed a Coon Rapids man and sent 10 others to the hospital.
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Timothy Lamere reportedly purchased, possessed, and provided the designer drug 2C-E to the group. He is being held for third degree murder.
Nineteen-year-old Trevor Robinson died following the overdose in Blaine. Friends say Robinson was working, going to school and helping to raise his 6-month-old son.
The baby's mother tells 5 EYEWITNESS News Robinson loved being a dad. Now she hopes someone else learns from Robinson's death and thinks about him before taking any kind of drug.
Nine of the 10 people hospitalized following the overdose were out of the hospital Friday evening.
Criminal charges against Lamere are expected Monday.
