It had all the ingredients of a lavish fairy tale wedding. Set in an Italian castle, the big fat wedding of Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone's daughter included a three-day celebration and a slew of celebrity (and royal) guests.

Petra Ecclestone's wedding ceremony to her fiance cost a cool $7.7 million, according to 'Perthnow'.

Among the celebrioties who attended were Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky, Sarah Ferguson and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice; Eric Clapton, etc.

Alicia Keys and DJ David Guetta also played at the reception at Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, 32km outside Rome.

The 10-day rental of the 15th-century castle is estimated to cost $478,000; a celebratory firework display worth $62,000, and food was ferried in from France and Britain.

Ecclestone, heir to a $4 billion fortune is the world's richest bride, according to People.

The Daily Mail reports The Black Eyed Peas were paid $2.3 million to play, Alicia Keys got $930,000, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra $386,000 and that $1.2 million was spent on vintage wines.
